An Introduction to the Green MLS Tool Kit: Part 1 of 5

June 15, 2010  |  by Tim

Recently The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) released their Green MLS Tool Kit.  Creating the tool kit was a collaborative effort between NAR; the Appraisal Institute; Council of Multiple Listing Services; EcoBroker International; Enterprise Community Partners; Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service System; National Association of Home Builders; NeighborWorks® America; Traverse Area Association of Realtors®; the U.S. Green Building Council; MRIS and  others.

Al Medina, Director of NAR’s Green Designation, did a great job leading the group and helped us focus our local efforts. The tool kit is filled with incredible information that will not only serve as a guide to MRIS and other MLSs as the green movement matures; it is also a great resource for you, the real estate professional.

This blog series will examine some of the key ways the Green MLS Tool Kit will help you navigate the green movement and incorporate its initiatives into your business efforts with minimal effort and maximum return. Together we’ll explore the compelling information found in the tool kit, take a closer look at green certifications, analyze trends and see what’s on the horizon for the green movement.
