We are thrilled to announce that MRIS president and chief executive officer David Charron has been appointed to the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) 2011 Board of Directors. RESO, the organization tasked with defining and promoting real estate industry data transfer standards, convenes a new board every two years with the vision to assess and determine the direction, goals, and requirements of the RESO standards process. For those in the industry know, this is an enormous honor, and we congratulate David on this appointment.
I know David is thrilled to accept this position on the RESO board of directors. Since its inception in 2007, RESO has promoted and supported the business interests of the industry. As our fearless leader, David plans to work to advance the interests of the industry by mandating conformance to the new standards immediately. The new board will start their term at the beginning of January.
Real estate standards and regulations guide both the industry as a whole as well as the individual real estate agent. David takes true pride in the important role of voice at an industry level for each of our valued customers. We here at MRIS think established principals among professionals will increase the positive experience of individual home buyers and sellers.
Please join me in congratulating David! If you would like more information on the standards, please visit www.rets.org.
