Feedback Friday – February 15, 2013

February 15, 2013  |  by Jess

Thank you for your incredible response to our first Feedback Friday survey! We had over 1200 responses and received over 200 write-in suggestions from you. We’ll be using your feedback to determine the most requested changes that you think should be made to the design, content, and timing/frequency of our Weekend Roundup newsletter.

I worked on today’s Feedback Friday survey with Matrix/Keystone product manager Tim Campbell, and we both think this one could be pretty popular with MRIS customers. Please take a few moments to answer some questions about possible additions and enhancements to Matrix and Keystone.

Thank you in advance for your feedback, and have a wonderful day!

    Great Job

  3. Lynne says:

Is there anyway to make it so you can go back to the search after viewing the CMA?

  4. Ruth says:

how about adding a Suggestion Tab so we can send our suggestions as we work in Matrix/Keystone?

  5. joanne Stockman says:

    Ruth has great idea!

  6. Marge Lee says:

When you run Basic Statistics – grouped by Status using Counties for your CMA the result doesn
't have the name of the county on it. When you are doing a whole area having severaldifferenct counties it gets very confusing and it seems it shouldn't be that hardto add that.

  7. Leslea says:

I have commented on this before in various surveys. Why isn't there a screen that asks if we're sure we want to log off that we have to respond in the affirmative before logging off. It's so easy to accidentally log off and lose information–and then have to log on again and go through the search process again. Even if one can go to the last search, you still have to log in again.

  8. George Greene says:

mris is still world;s worst for good real estate agents

  9. David Norod says:

Hi Tim: As you know, I have actually played around with the new Keystone – the program, not the home page – and it is a very cool piece of software. As I understand it, it is being rolled out in 5 phases, the new home page having been phase one. My question is, why does MRIS continue to spend time, money and creative resources unveiling new products used by some but not all of us while the one piece of software that ALL subscribers are forced to rely on continues in its present dysfunctional condition, still stuck on phase one?

  10. thomas garcia says:

How about leaving things as they are for awhile! You had to scrap the new viewing/showing program as a result of numerous negative feedback. Perhaps Agents would like to work with the existing programs. Thanks!

  11. Carmen Murphy says:

While HD photos would be nice, I'd rather use the server space to put additional photos on. For a modest sized property 30 photos is plenty, but for many homes, options up to 50 would be better.

  13. Mihaela says:

I don't understand why MRIS feels that they need to make so many changes lately. Just leave everything alone unless it is something that doesn't work. I also hope that these "changes" will not drive up the quarterly fee.

  14. Alex Stefan says:

My wife and are Realtors with the same brokerage firm. If my wife is the listing agent, I am usually the co-lister, and vice versa. The new KeyStone page allows only the primary listing agent to log in and edit the listing. Can that be changed so both the primary lister and the co-lister can access the listing from the main page?

  15. Marrie says:

I would like the ability to make my personal comments on listings before emailing them to customers/clients..Is this a possibilitly?

  16. Patsy says:

I like Leslea's idea and Ruth has a great suggestion. I would like to be able to search for properties by of a cluster of zip codes shown instead as an area on a color coded map. The cluster would be shown on a map as zone 1, 2, 3 – 10 as many as it would take and assigned by each State. The map search we have often includes/excludes properties from my intended search area.

  18. Jackie says:

You changed the display when I do a map search. I can no longer easily associate the house with the list.
Numbers on the houses that match the list would be helpful.

  19. Mary Meredith says:

I find it interesting that you want to enhance the listings, I presume it is for the general public. Prior to the internet there was no such interest in doing so for the agents…….Mary Meredith

  20. I have a client right now who wants a town home with the garage on the main level. Could we add the garage to rooms and be able to say which level of the home it is on? That would be awesome!

  21. Rick Boswell says:

Currently we have the ability to show alternate agent in listings. It would be an added feature to have alternate agent for selling side also. Many times, a team effort is used to complete a sale.

  22. chuck bailey says:

Stop changing things just to entertain yourselves. You have made it harder and harder to get the information needed and to make changes. The Keystone system is a joke now. Do not change the showing instruction system. It works fine. Chuck Bailey

  23. Jo-Ann says:

I endorse Leslea's suggestion, ten-fold! Having a screen that asks us if we really want to log-off, before we log-off would be awesome! I can't count the times I have mistakenly logged off and have to then start over again.

  24. Patti R. says:

If I could see how many times an agent sends my listings to THEIR clients/customers, that would be GREAT!

  25. Vivdell says:

Do we always have to start a new search each time we want to add to a search we have saved but want to add to that one in a saved search?

  26. Sherry says:

The photo caption options are awful since the conversion to media connect. Why did we lose all of the room & feature names (deck, foyer, half bath, den, etc.)? Did you buy media connect from some other company? If not, why did you drop all the caption options? If you did buy media connect, why didn't you include the existing photo captions as a requirement?

Why do some of the apps on the right hand side of Keystone have the ability to be submitted directly to MRIS and some require you to go over to the left hand side and use the drop down box by the listing picture to submit? This is confusing and doesn't make any sense.

Your new listing summary that shows short sales as a yes or no column needs to be changed. The short sale info column only needs to be as wide as yes or no. So head it "SS". Then add a column for Foreclosures that also only is wide enough for yes or no. Head it "F" or "REO". You waste too much horizontal space with the current width of the short sale column. You could fit in a column for foreclosures in that space and still make it narrower. I did in my custom reports.

  27. Sherry says:

Why aren't items like vacation home or farm already set up with a default of "no"? I have to think that these items are exceptions in most markets. The same with value range pricing. I can't think of all of these fields that should default to "no" without being in the middle of adding a listing. There are a bunch that you must know do not often have any other selection than "no". So let's make those default to "no". That way, most of us would use less keystrokes when entering a listing.

  28. Kathy says:

I would love to have a more user friendly Settlement Xpress program back. I miss the old one, it was so easy to use. I feel like this newer one isn't as user friendly, it would be such a nice tool to use again.

  29. Howard says:

I hate having to start a new search every time and a better Settlement Xpress

  30. Kathy Rylander says:

Is there a way to just enter the MRIS # and not have to decide what county or what type ie: Commercial, residential etc. If the feature is available please let me know. "Quick" should mean just the MRIS # and the listing should come up without sorting any other criteria.

  32. diggs says:

    Basically satisfied

  33. BILL says:

When I make changes in keystone quite often the next time I go back in I see in red that I have so much time to submit theses changes or they will be lost. I thought they were done. I recently was fined $100 for not updating my listing. I had but it apparently did not take. It is frustrating. Then being fined is ridiculous.

  34. Erik says:

what about having a form like in the listing agreement/or simple check boxes for conveyances that could be filled out in matrix..match it to the listing agreement. Then no confusion/questions about conveyances!!

  35. bill regalia says:

The area filled is probably the most mis used field. There are a lot of 99999 areas around. As it doesn't seem that many agents use or need the map coordinates do we really need to keep this as a required field?

  36. Mary Libick says:

    no comment

  37. Sue Chapin says:

Please consider tax record taxable sq footage being a required auto load.

  38. Mary Mallow says:

Could you please make a searching catergory for the 55 and Older Community listings/sales? We have to go through all listings to weed them out. Thanks, and have a great day!

  39. Daniel says:

I would like to be able to instantly verify a clients SS # and credit score when taking an application.

  40. Irene says:

I am a relatively new agent, I am still learning all of what MRIS has to offer. At this point, I just need it be user friendly.

  41. Doreen Moran says:

I agree with Tom, Keystone is still extremely lacking, we need more photos, faster loading and MUCH faster response after submitting, it takes 2-3 minutes to get through all the "OK" boxes that pop up for each update completed and submitted. It's just to long. Very frustrating and its NOT my browser!
