Yesterday, the Washington Post ran a heart warming feature about how “the Prince William County pantry, which doles out food to about 4,000 people a month, ran out of supplies in October, the community rallied and raised thousands of dollars to restock the empty shelves”. The feature showcases people who help, what the assistance is and how you can help. The slideshow is here.
The Post has also included a Charitable Giving Guide.
MRIS does have an active charitable committee (MRIS Cares) and we’re embarking on another holiday season where our staff will reach out to the communities in which we live and work. Led ably by our colleague Diane Smith, updates on the team’s efforts can be found here.
