It’s Almost Time to Simplify Your Showings!

January 9, 2013  |  by Jess

An exciting new product is coming!

We want to introduce you to ShowingAssist, a new MRIS core product that will allow agents to share and access showing information from Keystone, Matrix, and the MRIS Homes™ mobile app.

Whether you’re listing a property or showing one to a client, ShowingAssist gives you the power to schedule showings in real time! No more ‘phone tag’ games. Listing agents will receive a communication (via text, email or phone) whenever an agent views the showing instructions for their listing. Depending on the appointment type you’ve selected for the property, you may not have to do anything more.

Speaking of appointment types, ShowingAssist offers three showing appointment types to fit your showing situation.

  • View Instructions Only – the Showing Agent views the listing instructions immediately without having to contact the Listing Agent to setup an appointment. This appointment type is the most “hands off” of the three and simply provides the Listing Agent with a notification that his or her showing instructions have been viewed by another agent.
  • Courtesy Call or Go and Show – the Showing Agent schedules an appointment that will be immediately confirmed with no action required by the Listing Agent. This appointment type is well suited for vacant homes.
  • Appointment Required – the Showing Agent schedules an appointment that must be confirmed by the Listing Agent and/or any of the designated listing contacts. This appointment type works well for homes that are occupied.

Other features that will make your lives easier are:

  • Integration with your current appointment center, such as CSS
  • ShowingCart™ Tours for multiple showings
  • Helpful tools like feedback, surveys and reports
  • And much more!

We are so excited to be able to offer ShowingAssist as part of our core product suite for our MRIS Customers. If you can’t wait to see this product, sign up for our MRIS 301 class for a sneak peek! Stay tuned for more information as we approach our release date.

  1. AWESOME! Wish I were still selling Real Estate.

  2. RRutley says:

FINALLY!! THANK GOODNESS! WE HAVE NEEDED THIS CONVENIENCE FOREVER!

  3. Rose Bartz says:

Sounds wonderful can't wait! Fantastic enhancement!

Please consider an enhancement for the Matrix Search where the School boundary area shown in "layers" on the Map will highlight and save as the designated search area.

Currently an agent has to "TRACE" the boundary outline, and since most boundaries are asymetrical and very irregular, the accuracy is poor at best.

Please, please, please — We all know that consumers and agents search for school zones..

    Thanks!

Rose, great minds think a like! The product management team agrees with you. This functionality is planned in the future. In addition to being part of the product innovation team, I am a real estate broker – so I understand the benefit of this functionality. Please continue to share your ideas with us!

      -Adam

  4. MRIS_CMO says:

All — thanks for the comments — Rose, that's a great idea. Our product team will check into that ASAP. A bunch of us on the team are real estate folks — we get it about schools for sure. We'll get back to you on that. John Heithaus. MRIS CMO

  5. Really excited about this. I've used CSS for years and am hoping I will cut down costs and make it more convenient for fellow agents to show my listings! Way to go MRIS!

  6. Jim Shepard says:

MRIS just continues getting better all the time. Thanks! Can't wait for this. Everyone always complains about fees, but MRIS is one where I actually feel like there is value. Don't stop. Keep the innovation and the technology coming.

  7. I've been using ShowingTime which is the same company that is ShowingAssist for years for the reasons of simplicity, cost is less than half of CSS, and there hours including holidays are always 8am-11pm. Now that this is coming I will definitely be happier. Can we get a date please, thank you very much!

  8. Camille says:

Do we need to go back and input the showing information into our existing listings to take advantage of this great tool immediately??

    • MRIS_Jess says:

      Hi Camille,

No, you won't have to go back and input this for your existing listings.

When ShowingAssist launches, the showing instructions for existing listings will be imported from Keystone into ShowingAssist. From launch date forward, you'll use ShowingAssist to add new and manage existing showing instructions.

      Thanks for your question!

  9. John Neubauer says:

    When does this launch??

  10. [...] the three appointment types, you can choose how you want to handle showings for listings on a case-by-case basis, whether it be [...]

  11. Jo Ann says:

will the owner every be notified i.e. when the instructions just say: Call First Contact? So they know that someone will be showing their home even though not appointment or confirmation would be needed?

    • MRIS_Jess says:

Hi Jo Ann, sorry for the delay in answering your question. I've forwarded your question to Adam, the product manager for ShowingAssist for the best answer.

In the meantime, I do know that owners/occupants can be added as contacts that are able to receive text or email notifications of confirmed showing appointments and cancellations when a specific date and time have been requested.

  12. maria says:

I hope there are options not to use it as I reiterate I think this is going to be very cumbersome in showing multiple properties.
