The Vicar of Wakefield, a novel by Irish author Oliver Goldsmith, was published in 1766. Vicar was one of the most popular and widely read 18th-century novels among Victorians. One of the quotes from the book, noted in the title above, serves to compliment people who do good deeds in their everyday work. It has always stuck with me since I first read it in my college days and I thought I would share it here.
When we look at the MRIS Client Alliance Management Team (CAM), ably led by manager Scott Saghirian, this quote takes on relevance for MRIS. The CAM Team of Scott, Sue Pinder, Kim Mingo and the irrepressible Neal Feinberg are the company’s primary ambassadors to our shareholding associations, brokerage offices and agents within the 22,000 square miles served by MRIS. This involves countless office and sales meetings, product presentations, formal Association events, golf outings, B-B-Qs and more with many miles driven every day of the week to provide REAL TIME™ customer and shareholder support and visibility. During one of my own MRIS road trips, I joined Sue Pinder at the Fredericksburg Area Association of REALTORS® Installation Banquet. During dinner, Sue mentioned how this particular trip covered three MRIS Associations, 900+ miles and 17 hours of driving — all in just two days. The map of Sue’s trip is in the Gallery below.
This is also very typical of Scott’s, Kim’s and Neal’s trips in the course of managing their territories, along with members from our Customer Support, Executive and IT teams. In addition, the team’s hectic calendar is expertly navigated and managed by Avneet Sodhi, whose work provides the “glue” that holds the team together.
Sue, and everyone else at MRIS know that “Handsome is That Handsome Does” when it comes to meeting our customers and shareholders face-to-face in this age of social media and “virtual” conversations. We know that real estate is a F2F business and put in the miles to prove it!
Please join the team at MRIS in thanking them for their efforts!
