Home-Buyer Psychology Changes, Fuels Rental Market

July 20, 2010  |  by John Heithaus

Some very interesting thinking from Dawn Wotapka at the WSJ. Here’s a short URL: http://bit.ly/9o1P9L

Bottom line: As the housing downturn drags on,  the apartment sector is picking up. Some of the nation’s largest apartment-building landlords are reporting an end to rent declines.

Thus, real estate professionals have to work harder than ever to educate their customers on the significant advantages homeowners enjoy — both financially (in terms of tax benefits) and psychologically.

I just became a homeowner again after nearly three years as a renter. It feels good to own a home again!
