Nicole Perwith from the NYT has written this outstanding article on how we can all protect ourselves better in this hyper-digital age (no subscription required.) I have personally had my Twitter account hacked (a link click on my part from my phone) which I was able to fix quickly and easily with a password change. But, depending on the password stolen, it could have been much worse. And, from what I hear, I’m not alone. Colleagues have shared countless stories of other occurrences so I know it’s a prevalent problem.
So give the article a close read, as I plan to do, and take action!
