Important News For Windows XP Users

March 11, 2014  |  by Ellen

Windows XPMicrosoft announced last week that they are going to stop providing updates and support for Windows XP after April 8th, 2014. That not only means that they will stop providing technical assistance and automatic updates but, most importantly, they will also phase out all of the security updates that protect XP users from vulnerabilities.

As they say in their announcement, they are going to devote more resources to “more recent technologies”, such as Windows 8.1, which is the most up-to-date version of Windows. You can also upgrade to Windows 7 for another year.

I did know about this but i think it's great that you are spreading the word to everyone!! There is a learning curve for those upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 but I think users will find it to be a good improvement in the long run. Upgrade early and avoid the rush is my advice.
