Keeping Your Audience Engaged with REsource Real Estate Content

October 29, 2013  |  by RISMedia

Social MediaSo you’ve decided to join Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ – great! You’ve even set up your own blog that links directly from your personal website. Even better. But being on social media is just the first step to actually being social and engaging your audience. So what do you have to do in order to truly connect with your Followers and Fans? Here are a few tips:

1. Get comfy. Take 20 minutes a day, or even an hour a week, and learn the sites you’re using and all of their functionalities. You can’t fully take advantage of social media unless you’re familiar with your surroundings. Comment on others’ posts, Like your friends Pages, and hopefully they will reciprocate.

3. Post regularly. Don’t just sit back and observe others’ activity. Actively publish content that your Fans and Followers will respond to with hopes of starting new conversations. If people don’t see you posting regularly, they will be less inclined to socialize on your page. Dedicate yourself to your online presence by keeping a pre-determined social media schedule.

3. Respond. If someone comments on one of your posts, comment back! It’s all about being (and staying) in touch with others. Let them know that you acknowledge them and appreciate their readership. Too many times, users are passive and quiet, and this is not the way to build a sphere of influence.

4. Most importantly, have great content. After using social media for a while, you will become more in tune with what your audience wants to see and read. Post items that are relevant to your readers, your business, or the real estate industry at large. You want to be viewed as a credible source for industry information. Take it one step further and mix in some entertaining non-industry posts as well. Having a diverse repertoire of posts will entice your Fans and Followers to keep following you, and hopefully, communicating with you as well.

The real estate business is a busy one, so creating all of this content yourself is highly unlikely. If your company is in need of some fun and fresh content, RISMedia’s REsource is at your fingertips.
