Matrix Monday Tip: Exclude or Include 55+ properties!

February 14, 2011  |  by Anne

Do you always search in Silver Spring, MD and are tired of always seeing search results for Leisure World, a 55+ housing community? Or maybe you are only searching for 55+ houses, and you don’t want all the other listings.

Good thing you have the option to either include or exclude 55+ properties in your searches!

To start, open a residential search in Matrix and select “add/remove additional fields” from the lower left.

Select “Community Rules” from the Available Fields section, “add” it to your “Selected Field” section and “return to search”

Community Rules will now be included in your search criteria, where “Adult Liv Comm” is located.  The search results will contain listings where the listing agent has checked the Adult Liv Comm during Keystone listing entry.

Hoping to exclude this criteria? It’s really not that hard 🙂  Simply click the “Not” option to exclude Adult Living Communities.

Happy searching!

I think that this will only work if it is a requirement in Keystone for the listing agent. Some listing agents do not take the time to enter all information that is optional even if it would be helpful to buyers. So, this would be a great idea to have but it will only work as a required feature in Keystone.
