Way cool! Love this app!_
That's great, Rose! What is your favorite feature that you've used so far?
Thanks for adding a mobile app. When on the road I've had to rely on my Droid Realtor.com app for quick searches, but would rather go direct into MRIS. I do have some suggestions for future updates of the app: the search options don't seem as intuitive to me as Apps from Realtor.com, Zillow, and Trulia. Perhaps future versions could be tweaked to match the ease of functionality of some of best practices of those industry leading sites.
Also, it would be nice to have active links to the listing agents' cell phone, office #, email, etc., when an agent is logged in and looking at a listing agent's details page. That way buyers' agents could just tap the number to call the listing agent or alternate listing agent by selecting whatever number was desired, tap the email address from the listing agent's detail page to send an email, etc. I know there is a 'Quick Connect' feature for each listing, but agents should have ability to be as selective on their desired method of contact as if they were logged in to MRIS on a desktop.
Overall a great idea in concept and good improvement for MRIS. Thanks.
Hi Branden,
Making it possible to call and email the listing agent or showing contact by touching their phone number or email address is on our roadmap, and it is high priority. We have two more major releases planned for MRIS Homes, and we realize that a mobile app is something that will need to be updated on an ongoing basis to remain competetive.
I really appreciate your constructive feedback, keep it coming!
I downloaded the app. It marks my current location but it only shows me listings to the west of my location. Why?
I have downloaded but can't get it to accept "I accept" for the terms. Any thoughts?
Hi Diane, Thank you for downloading the app. We looked into this for you and it is now fixed. If you delete the version of the app that you previously installed and download it again, you should be able to use the app without experiencing this issue. Let us know if you need assistance.
Hi Beatriz and Diane, can you please tell me what kind of phone you are using so I can look into the issue further?
thanks!
I go to one of my listings, I click on "Contact" on the bottom menu bar, click on "Call to See" and my personal contact information is sent to a competing local agent with a "SmarterAgent" account. Great deal for the SmarterAgent. Bad deal for me.
Hi Bill, I just searched for your listing AA7919859 on MRIS Homes, pressed "Call to See" and I was rerouted to your cell phone number as indicated in your MRIS agent contact information.
What listing are you referring to that this issue happened?
Thanks for checking into this. That's the correct listing number. I just tried again and was referred to 301-838-7270.
Very interesting… Let's try to get to the bottom of this and see what's going on. I'm going to give you a call to discuss further.
Easy to download and use. Awesome!
Is there a way my clients that I give the app to will have the information sent to me instead of the listing agent?
Hi John, Great question! Yes, you can get your own branded version of the MRIS Homes app to easily distribute to clients, with all calls and emails going to you. There is an Agent Branded App option and two Broker Branded App options that redirect listing inquiries back to the app owner. You can try the agent app free for 30 days, just enter promo code: LAUNCH0910 during checkout. Find out more at MRIS.com/Mobile.
The agent-branded app page at
http://www.mris.com/mris-products/mobile-apps/age…
states that there is a $50 activation fee required to initiate the free 30-day trial, but gives a different promo code. Does the $50 activation fee apply to the LAUNCH90 promo?
Hi Bill, thanks for the question. Both promo codes provide 13 months for the price of 12 with the ability to cancel the app subscription at anytime during the 30-day trial. The activation fee is required on the offer due to the amount of setup and configuration involved with the personalization with your name and listing inquiries going back to the app owner. We'll give you a call!
Thanks for this app. I'm really hoping there are some planned additions/feature upgrades in the near future. I think one of the biggest needs we have as agents is the ability to quickly get the showing details and past sales info on a property when we are out in the field. I'm quite surprised that it's not already part of this long awaited app and hope someone is adding this soon.
Hi Andy, if you login with your MRIS credentials you will have access to agent-only information such as sale history, showing instructions, distressed property type and much more. We have created some great tutorials to assist you with the transition to MRIS Homes. Visit: http://mris.com/mris-products/mobile-apps/mris-ho… and select the Support tab to view videos.
Thanks for the speedy responses. I figured that part out and the agent login is a great feature but it's quite clumsy to use. For example, why are phone numbers not clickable or copyable? Good news…I can find the showing number. Bad news…I have to find it, write it down, then pull up the phone app, then key it in again – sort of cancels out some of that mobile app value. Also, can we have a focus group very soon on what data is displayed, how it's displayed, etc? This seems very thrown together compared to most apps i'm used to working with.
Hi Andy, thanks for the feedback. MRIS Homes has additional enhancements that are being actively worked on. The functionality you mentioned is high on our priority list. In the meantime, you can use the Contact button to either call or email the listing agent. Thanks again for the feedback and we'll let you know about future focus groups. Thanks!
I must be missing something as phone numbers and email addresses are not clickable or copyable. Is there a manual or how-to video for this app?
Hi Andy, from the listing detail at the bottom (iPhone), at the top (BlackBerry) or accessible through the menu button (Android), hit contact and from there you can call or email. There are videos available currently on http://www.mris.com/mris-products/mobile-apps/mri… under the Support tab (finding additional property info video) and the MRIS Support Center can provide you with additional help at 888-838-8200.
I'm unable to "Email, text or call the listing broker or agent with the click of a button". The info is there but not clickable. I have a Droid X.
Same for me on iPhone and iPad.
Hello Terry, if I understand you correctly, you are trying to click the displayed phone number / email address of the listing broker or agent from within the Professional Information section so that you can easily email, text, or call them. While not available to day, this functionality is high on our list of new enhancements. At this point, the best alternative is to use the Contact button to either call or email the listing agent. Thank you for the feedback. We're already working on it. Best Regards, Kirk

Holy extortion Batman!
OK, so I pay the money so the threat of business being sent away from me is eliminated (branded site) if they then use another agents QR code does that then brand the new agent and eliminate me from their mobile device?
Roy, thanks for sharing your thoughts on MRIS Homes, it is very valuable to us. A mobile app has been one of our most requested features from our customers and our goal is to offer a leading class solution. To answer your question: The way the technology works, you can only have one MRIS Homes app on your device at a time. So if your customer chooses to delete or replace your app they can do so. One valuable feature of the agent branded app gives you a dashboard that will show you usage statistics such as the number of downloads, new users, user logins, searches, property views, calls, and emails. Although the statistics are anonymous since the consumer does not login, it will still give you valuable metrics to guage adoption and ROI. The product roadmap for MRIS Homes will bring even more great features in the future and your feedback will help guide us indeed. Thanks again for your feedback!
Thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions for improvement regarding our new mobile app, MRIS Homes. Your opinions and impressions (both positive and constructive) are of value to us and we read and consider each and every one. Please stay tuned in to RESource for more updates.
i want to list sale by owner how
The need to login each time needs to be eliminated. Some of the competition's mobile apps are there already. In fact, that is the general rule of most apps. no need to login. A very big deal.
Hi Kurt, thank you for the feedback and for using the MRIS Homes app. Yes, other real estate apps do not require a login because they only show the general consumer facing listing information. Since the MRIS app is dual purpose, it uses your MRIS ID/password to ensure that only MRIS customers can access the off market listings and full listing information such as agent remarks, compensation, and other important data from their mobile devices. Logging in is a way to safeguard agent specific information. In addition, we are planning to add the ability to update listings in a later phase, so the Secure Login will be necessary at that point to protect your listings and the integrity of the listing data.
Thanks again for your input, we'll share your feedback with our team.
Any plans to offer a windows mobile 7/8 version?
