The charitable arm of the Maryland Association of REALTORS® is the Partnership for Housing Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization created in 2001 to provide an opportunity for real estate professionals to have a more direct impact on development of affordable housing opportunities and solutions throughout Maryland, now complicated by the rising foreclosure rates and costs associated with maintaining a home. The Foundation’s newest program is MARYLAND HOME MAKEOVER™, a condensed version of the popular television show. The goal is to assist Maryland homeowners with basic housing needs and improve their quality of life. The program positively impacts the lives of those who are in financial need and are identified as the priority recipients for the program: police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, veterans, and developmentally-disabled or physically-challenged, whether they are individuals, households or surviving families.

  1. I've been looking for something like this "for a good cause". I will do the best I can to be part of this organization whether a volunteer, giver, blogger, or whatever I could share. I can imagine the HARDSHIP of a family struggling to survive this crisis. Till next time…
