Avoid delays, eliminate red tape and increase your revenue stream with the Fannie Mae Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD). SSAD helps you resolve post-offer issues encountered during a short sale faster than ever before by allowing you to submit eligible cases directly to Fannie Mae. Since MRIS launched SSAD earlier this year, approximately 85% of submitted cases have been successfully resolved due to Fannie Mae’s direct assistance with the servicer. In addition, MRIS customers find that most cases are resolved in 2 weeks or less… a significant time-savings!
A Faster Way to Resolve a Short Sale:
Fannie Mae has launched a new Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD) website through Clarifire Community to better streamline the submission, approval and tracking process for Fannie Mae short sales. You’ll enjoy the same great direct access to Fannie Mae but with an updated look and feel. While the SSAD eligibility and case submission guidelines remain the same, the new SSAD website requires registration before the submission process. Simply click on “Register New Account” upon your first login and follow the step-by-step instructions. Save that login information as you will need it for future access to SSAD.
Submit a Short Sale in 3 Easy Steps:
1) Look up the property to make sure it has a first-lien loan owned by Fannie Mae.
2) Have the homeowner sign the Borrower Authorization Form.
3) Register as a New Account on the new SSAD website and submit your case online.
Visit the MRIS Short Sale Center tab in Matrix to complete the steps above. Never miss a Fannie Mae status update with text messaging and mobile capabilities provided now through the new SSAD!
