The Relationship Between Social Media And Generating Revenue

At the Inman Real Estate Connect conference in San Francisco last month, leaders from across the industry gathered to discuss a wide range of topics, but one that stood out was the talk by Tamara Mendelsohn, the Vice President of Marketing for Eventbrite. This company’s stronghold in the online event registration sector is largely due to its success at maximizing social media and Mendelsohn herself is credited with being the first person to assess the dollar value of a ‘Like’. In this twenty minute video she runs through the major tenets of how social media can be used to attract and retain customers using examples from all across the online landscape. Many of the case studies can be applied to real estate because as she says, “Social media is no longer just about a marketing strategy. It’s about how you do business.”
