All puns aside, Fannie Mae’s Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD) has already helped MRIS customers involved with Fannie Mae short sales. Since it’s launch a few weeks ago, SSAD has been able to expedite the Fannie Mae short sale process.
Just check out what some MRIS customers are saying about their SSAD experience:
“I was contacted very quickly by Fannie Mae and then received 2 calls back from Bank of America that helped put my short sale back on track.” – Bob Mercurio, Long & Foster
“I actually contacted Fannie Mae directly after the Servicer of the 1st & 2nd lien had declined a short sale even though the 1st would have been paid in full. We had exhausted all options and had done a valuation dispute with a certified appraisal. The contacts at Fannie Mae were absolutely wonderful to work with and turned a perilously situation into a success story and even allowed us to pay $6,500 to a 3rd lienholder. This is a welcome step to help ensure that legitimate Fannie Mae short sale hold ups and issues can be resolved and more mortgagors and neighborhoods avoid foreclosure,” Christy Bishop, Prudential PenFed Realty.
“We received an initial response from Fannie Mae within about 24 hours of submission. We were very satisfied with the response time and of course the pending result. We appreciated the opportunity to escalate directly to Fannie Mae, rather than having to research possible contacts within the GSE, as the servicer’s hands were tied. We believe this is a fantastic procedure, and hope that others can utilize it with the same degree of efficiency and successful outcome!” – Brian Gormley, Cornerstone Properties and Financial Services.
