What does National Homeownership Month mean to agents?

June 24, 2010  |  by Cassie

As many of you know, June is National Homeownership Month, a celebration promoted by NeighborWorks America. The group organizes a series of consumer outreach efforts to support affordable, sustainable and healthy homes and communities.

tiny house and keysWe at MRIS are proud to assist you in the key role you play in helping thousands of Americans find homes each year. In the nearly 15 years since MRIS was founded, we’ve been involved in the transactions of nearly two million properties. This significant number not only represents MRIS’ continued activity in real estate in the region, but it also represents an astounding volume of individual stories of homeownership.

Share with us your stories about homeownership.

We invite you to share with us your experiences and poignant stories of creating homeownership in America, whether it be a particularly memorable family closing on their first home or more seasoned couple finally finding the perfect retirement retreat.

Or maybe you volunteer with groups providing housing or helping with homelessness issues.

Submit stories to communications@mris.net by Tuesday, June 29. We’ll use the best stories to help tell the story of what National Homeownership Month means to real estate professionals in the MRIS region — in our press releases and in an upcoming issue of our enewsletter.
