CEO David Charron Offers Advice To Homeowners Planning To Sell This Coming Spring

November 16, 2016  |  by Ellen

dreamstime_xs_45955260Even though real estate is winding down for this year it isn’t too soon for potential sellers to start thinking about how to make their home looks its best before selling season starts next year. David Charron has put together a list of suggestions in his latest Washington Post column for homeowners to work on little by little over the coming months so they aren’t overwhelmed next March when they suddenly need to take listing photos and have everything ready for an open house.

What else would you add to the list? Please let us know in the comments.

    Would. Like list thx

  2. I would suggest take a look at homes for sale in your area. Get your agent to set up appointments or go to open houses in your area and see what you will need to do to get buyers to look at your home. If you have pets think about spending a few dollars getting the place professionally cleaned. And have a place for your pets to stay while your home is on the market. A big turnoff is having a seller to have a buyer wait to see a home because you have to put your pet away. You only get one shot at showing a home and waiting 24 hours because you have a pet just won’t cut it. I have been to homes were you could not preview certain rooms because the dog was in that part of the home. A buyer wants to see all of the home. And sellers giving agents warning about not letting the cat out when showing. This should not be our responsibility.
