The rate hike of last December came with the announcement that the Federal Reserve had the goal of increasing interest rates three times during 2017, but yesterday was not the day for the first of this year’s hikes. They opted to keep them the same for the time being. Of course, there are many pundits saying that all three increases are unlikely to actually materialize over the remaining ten months of the year.
