Feds Keep Interest Rates Unchanged After First Meeting Of 2017

February 6, 2017  |  by Ellen

dreamstime_xs_71954968The rate hike of last December came with the announcement that the Federal Reserve had the goal of increasing interest rates three times during 2017, but yesterday was not the day for the first of this year’s hikes. They opted to keep them the same for the time being. Of course, there are many pundits saying that all three increases are unlikely to actually materialize over the remaining ten months of the year.

The are seven more meetings this year, so keep your eye on the news during the following times to be the first to hear about any increases:

March 14-15
May 2-3
June 13-14
July 25-26
September 19-20
Oct 31-Nov 1
December 12-13
