In tight inventory markets buyers have been known to go some extreme lengths to be the winning bidder, such as the offer to stay at the buyer’s vacation home in Maui for a month or daily delivery of cookies for an entire year. Both of those are real life examples of buyers who were desperate to be the one who got the home.
