We Want to Know Wednesday: Which Upcoming Matrix Enhancement Are You Most Excited For?

December 7, 2011  |  by Anne

We’ve been busy this year with dozens of enhancements, but if you think we are done for 2011, think again! Next week, Matrix will receive three new enhancements designed to assist you in your everyday business.  So check out our list below and comment on what sounds most appealing to you!

  • Search History
    • Similar to how you operate your browser history, there will soon be a drop down that lists all of your most recent Matrix searches.
  • Matrix Concierge
    • Instead of allowing automatic emails to send directly to your clients, Matrix Concierge will require you to approve listings before they are sent to your clients.  Though Concierge will be completely optional, it’s a great tool to use if you want to weed out listings that meet your client’s criteria but may fall short on meeting their expectations.
  • Mapping Changes
    • Soon, your map will appropriately adjust to your zoom level.  For example, listings viewed at 500 feet and above will remain at road view but will automatically switch to an aerial view when you drop below 250 feet- no extra clicking required! Keep zooming in and the map view will switch to bird’s eye at about 100 feet.  Even cooler than that is the new Google Street View Map that can be visible at 50 feet or less!

Here’s a sneak peek screen shot of Search History:

I really like the Concierge auto email! This gives me the option of only "forwarding" the listings that I want my clients to see. I also like that it's just an option. I can leave my auto emails as they are today if I choose to.

I'd like to ask why Matrix does not have any way for us to view reports on how many views our listings have gotten, where those views have come from etc. This is data that all sorts of web sites provide for us, and is crucial when we are discussing how marketing is progressing with our sellers, but MRIS does not provide us with that data. Seems more than a bit behind the times
