Your Clients Are Using Mobile Apps – Do You Have One?

July 23, 2013  |  by Kerry

If you look around, there’s no doubt that people love their mobile devices. Their faces are buried in their screens as they walk, and even drive (scary!). They rely on them to figure out where they want to go and how to get there.

Real estate is no different. Today’s consumers (your clients and potential clients) are using their mobile devices to discover what type of home they are looking for as they walk around their existing neighborhood or drive around neighborhoods they like.

With your own branded app you have the ability to empower your (potential) clients with access to MRIS listings on the go. That means the most accurate, up-to-date information at their fingertips. It means the ability to search MRIS listings by current location (GPS search), square footage, and many other criteria. And if you have your own branded version of the MRIShomes mobile app, it means that all leads come back to you.

If you have the MRIShomes agent branded app, you’ll want to share it with your clients to give them accurate real estate information on their mobile devices. Here are a few suggestions on how to promote your agent branded app:

1. Share it. Text the app to your clients using your own text code or email it with your own web downloader page. Next time you post a picture of your latest listing to Facebook, or tweet a market analysis, add the text code or URL to download the app. Catch the attention of your friends and fans by saying something like: “Curious about what’s FOR SALE in your neighborhood? Take a look here: (text code) OR (URL).”

2. Farm It. Do you farm a particular neighborhood? Add the text code and URL to your marketing collateral. A homeowner might not be thinking about selling until they have a real-time snapshot of what today’s real estate market looks like.

3. Satisfy Window Shoppers. Admit it. We all stop to look in the windows of real estate offices that have listings advertised. We’re curious to know what the real estate market looks like. Satisfy curiosity with a QR code that can be scanned or by adding the text code and URL to flyers that are in the windows.

4. Dress Up Your Signs. Getting new For Sale or For Rent signs made? Add the text code and URL to your signs. Maybe the house that you’re listing isn’t perfect for everyone, but another listing could be.
